 I am a certified yoga therapist, with over 1,200 hours of professional training and certified through IAYT.org My yoga therapy training through the Niroga Institute in Oakland, CA has enabled me to better support individuals who might be struggling with chronic conditions such as anxiety/depression, arthritis, asthma, as well as those who have injuries or are recovering from various conditions.  Whatever your short or long-term interests may be, I look forward to supporting your healing process.

Yoga Therapy focuses on health and wellness at all levels of the person: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.  The ancient teachings of Yoga have been long known to help prevent illness. Yoga therapy utilizes the ancient teachings to help individuals who are confronting physical and mental health issues.  Yoga therapy can help individuals at any level manage their condition, reduce symptoms, restore balance, increase vitality, and improve attitude.

Bhavana's Approach to Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy can be part of a treatment plan for patients with a variety of conditions. Medical and mental health clinics, hospitals, community-based agencies, schools and rehabilitation centers could someday encourage more healing treatments such as yoga therapy. With reduced stress and reduced pain, people would rely less on prescription drugs and more on their own ability to take care of themselves. Yoga therapy is low cost and very user friendly!
